Filter Overview

Filters are the building block for every rule and audience segment. Please make sure you understand how to create accurate segments by adding rules, and how to filter rules. If you haven’t yet, please read Creating Audience Segments to learn more.

Filter Categories

Booking

The Booking category contains filters regarding all client bookings (group classes, appointments, etc). Bookings can be for events that occurred in the past, are scheduled to occur in the future, and can be further filtered by the client’s attendance status (attended, upcoming (scheduled to attend), early cancel, late cancel etc) and event details (event type, date range, location, staff etc).

Booking rule groups will almost always contain filters for booking status , booking count and event type.

Calendar

The Calendar category of filters deals with a specific day of the week or day of the month, and will almost never be used to create a segment, but may be useful for controlling trigger points for automations. The filters do not use and client data, and will only be useful for controlling which day of the week, or which day of the month continuous automations trigger. The filters contained in this category are as follows:

Client

The Client category of filters deals with information specific to your client. This is mostly data that is synced from the information section of your client within your booking platform, but also includes a few other data points added by LoopSpark.

Communication

The Communication category of filters is related to LoopSpark data only. These filters will help you narrow down your audience by communications a client has received, the date a client received a communication, and for emails only, the client engagement with that communication (open, click, bounce).

Contract

The Contract category of filters relates to a client's contracts, which may also be referred to as "memberships" or "enrollments" depending on your booking software. Contracts will be monthly renewing membership plans that create new packages each month. Common contract types include 12 Month Unlimited Membership, Monthly Unlimited Membership, 4 Classes / Month, 8 Classes Per Month, and Founding Memberships.

Filter Operators

Each filter will have a different set of operators to choose from (ex: more than, less than, at least once etc). Make sure you understand how each operator functions before filtering any rule.
